My Ain FolkEvelyn Florence McKenzie is a saint or should be. She immigrated to this country between the two world wars and left a life of performance on London stages to become a farmer's wife, raise a family in rural Queensland and struggle during the depression. It seems fit to represent her as a domestic icon framed by timber pieces taken from an old reed organ and a halo of gold safety pins. Oil and wax on board
